Some early S4 promotion work

 Variety posted an interview with Keri and Matthew talking in general about the show and hinting at some of the themes for S4.

And Joel Fields posted a photo to his Twitter account, implying that Matthew Rhys will be directing episode 8! I can't remember right now, but is Noah also directing this season again? 

Anyway, I hope this was ok to post and that the format is fine. First time for me! :-)

Noah Emmerich is definitely directing at least one, as well! I'm so glad Rhys is getting a chance to try out his chops--that's so exciting for him.

I do wish the promotional video had had at least some new footage, though. Come on, guys, it's January.

Matthew directed 2 or 3 episodes of Brothers & Sisters back in the day, so it's not new to him. However, this is a completely different pace and genre...! I vaguely remember him saying he was hesitant to try directing The Americans for that reason. But I think he'll do a great job.

Yes, I agree. They must have finished editing the first 2-3 episodes by now.

I also kind of hope that the references to Keidrich's hilarious reactions to 1980s technology mean he's got more to do this year with his parents! There's no reason that needs to be true from what they said, but I love Henry and if there's obviously going to be even more Paige, I could use the chaser!

I'm thinking that there are two routes: either he will disappear into the woodworks, or he will form some sort of alliance with Stan. Didn't Joel hint at that in some recent interview? No, it was in the EW article, wasn't it!? That would really create a great tension lever!

Could somebody be so kind and write up the spoilers for season 4 from this video? Unfortunately I cannot stand these interviews where actors mix up theirs opinions with spoilers.

There aren't really any spoilers in this video. They're just talking about how they perceive their characters, there's some stuff about fake teeth and disguises. Then they mention how Keidrich is continuously fascinated by all the 80's gear.

Keri mainly talks about her approach to the relationship dynamics: jealousy, lies, conflict. Also how she is grateful for more varied roles for women available now.

Matthew talks about how physical aspects of a disguise informs the playing of a character.
