Yeah, it feels like it would be wrong if she was in he same direction, but her facing the other way can have multiple meanings. Also that it looks like they're protecting her as well as her looking like she's in front of a firing squad.
These 'silencer' promos are really chilling. The promos for previous seasons just made me feel excited to see the upcoming new shows but these promos are actually making me feel anxious about the fate of the Jennings.
Well, ok. What with the news about someone's real life pregnancy, do you think they will bring this into the show at all? I'm hoping they won't, because I really think they have enough of the real life mixed up with the fictional as it is already. And how would they work it into the storyline anyway?
I don't think they will for every reason you mentioned. They're already filming ep 7, presumably they haven't written in a pregnancy so far, and then they've got like six more or so before they're done before a long break. There's no reason to, and it wouldn't fit in the story that I could see.
That said--this whole relationship has been probably my biggest annoyance about the show. I wish everyone on the show the best in their personal life but I don't want to know anything about the actors, really, and this is the one thing that keeps intruding into showtalk. I'm only interested in P&E's relationship. Hearing about the actors making me feel embarrassed!
Thank you for saying that! While I do hope that they are happy, any actors hooking up during filming just always struck me as so unprofessional. (Even though, of course, I know that they are all humans and feelings happen sometimes.) At times I have felt uncomfortable or awkward watching certain scenes of the show, because of their personal relationship.
Anyway, as you said, it seems unlikely that this particular real life event will be written into the show, especially given how much the creators appear to already have a clear idea of where everything is heading for a possible final fifth season. (We'll see how that goes now, though. But fingers crossed.)
For me it's not so much that I ever think about it during the show--so far I just see P&E and don't think about the real life romance in love scenes or anything, but it makes me feel like I'm prying into their personal lives when I don't want to be or like I think I'm their friend or something. I don't know. It's hard to explain. I just wish it wasn't so unavoidable.
But luckily it's pretty impossible to imagine a scenario where Elizabeth now says, "I want to have a baby!" so put her in one of those trademark winter coats and get on with it!
It's actually not so unavoidable. I don't read up on actors and don't care about their personal lives, and if this issue wouldn't have come up here, I'd continue to be blissfully ignorant.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I realize it's extremely difficult for fans to get away from such things, but if we bring them here to this comm, then it would be impossible for any of the members here to get away from it.

These things are such a slippery slope. This started off as a very vague question where those not in the know wouldn't really know much more, but by the end of the discussion, we have all the details.
