Group rewatch of season one?

Since all of the episode discussion for season one took place else-net (in my journal, on the show's facebook group, in the comments sections of various professional recaps) because this group hadn't yet been created when season one aired, I've been thinking about the idea of hosting a group rewatch of each of the episodes here at the community.

The idea is that we'd all watch each week's episode at some point during the week, and then on some agreed-upon night (maybe to coincide with either the Australian or UK first-time broadcasts?), I'd make a post where we could all talk about what we particularly enjoyed or didn't enjoy, things we saw this time that we missed the first time around, things that made us go 'oooooh' or 'eeeeek'!, etc.

I'd go with the UK broadcasts - that will enable everybody to join in, and it's on the weekend, so there's more time for it.

We just need to watch that it will be first-time-watcher friendly.

I'm still waffling between doing this now or later...if we started in early September instead, it would be right after Australia and the UK finished their seasons, and we'd finish pretty shortly before the start of the new season two. Thoughts?

I think it's an excellent idea! That way we won't have to worry so much about the spoiler problem..

Presuming you like the show, would you still entertain the possibility of participating in a rewatch that would start just after your season one episodes ended (say, the first week in September) instead? I'm waffling--there are a number of people in the poll who'd prefer a rewatch closer to the start of season two.
