More season 2 goodies from Twitter

This has already been discussed in comments, but episode one of season two will be called Comrades.

Two still shots from the set of season two, from producer Dan Sackheim: Noah Emmerich, Lev Gorn and Annet Mahendru.

And this isn't about season two, but it's still delightful. Says writer/producer/director Judd Apatow: "I feel like we are talking about a lot of TV shows- there are so many great ones - but I may enjoy The Americans most of all." (Read the whole conversation; it's very satisfying. :)

Interesting! I was trying to figure out what those pictures in the FBI scene might be of... maybe pictures of Elizabeth approaching the car in the finale? Or something else entirely?

Joel Fields also tweeted: "Whiskey On The Rocks" -- U-137... 32 years ago today!"

That could be cool if they incorporate that into the season, especially if it brings "Scott" back around since he is a Swedish Intelligence Officer. It would be fun to see some of these one-time characters come back again and develop more depth.

Wow, I didn't even think about looking at the pictures in the FBI scene. Yay, more to pore over! :D

I would love to see them bring "Scott" back, if only to remind the viewer that Philip isn't just either "Clark" or Philip, 24/7. It still seems bizarre to me that they just let that alter ego dangle, actually, given how much work must have gone into creating him. (Maybe there have been other missions with him in the intervening weeks, ones we haven't seen?)

That's a great question. I went off the assumption his cover story with Annaliese allows for extended absences and also makes sure she can't ever get too attached, so I think he *could* easily be off the radar for months at a time, but since they never revisited that one, you're right that just about anything could fit.

I couldn't make out anything in the pictures, but maybe you'll have better luck. All these tiny spoilers are whetting my appetite... and also making February seem so far away!

And in looking more closely at the other photo of Nina/Arkady, doesn't the chair in the middle say "Oleg"? That's the first name of the actor who played Zhukov... could he be coming back in a flashback??

It sure does say that! It's a pretty common name, so there could be a new Oleg (we already know from the Paley panel that they're bringing in some new Russian characters for the "Rezidentura world"), but that's a verrrrry good guess.
