Philip and Elizabeth come together for a perilous operation unlike any they’ve ever had before. Stan and Henry spend a little quality time together.

HOLY SHIT THIS PREVIEW.

It looks like it's gonna be a "shit hits the fan" episode with Stan finally getting suspicious enough to check out P&E more closely :O

I did not understand why they picked up the day workers in Chicago...was that Phillip? He said he needed "Cinco hombres" and then we never see that truck again.

They've definitely framed that clip to suggest that Philip is about to confess to Stan about being an illegal, but I bet he's just going to tell him that the travel agency isn't doing well.

That's what I assumed too.

I agree. This is likely just Philip telling Stan that the Travel Agency is struggling for business. Even at the way this show paces itself, I can't imagine how they could have Philip admit to being a spy in ep. #7 and then still have 3 more episodes to go.

I'm looking forward to seeing what else that innocent Henry may have said about his parents beyond the fact that they get phone calls and dash out of the house. I want to know what prompted this discussion. Maybe it was something as innocent as Stan saying that he was sorry that Elizabeth missed Thanksgiving dinner, but maybe he's starting to get suspicious of his neighbors.

but maybe he's starting to get suspicious of his neighbors.

On that note, if Stan does discover the Jenningses are illegal before the series ends (which I guess he still may not), it's not going to look great for his career, is it? Living across the street from them all these years and never guessing? It might even implicate him in some eyes.

Maybe. It's an interesting one, that's for sure.

At some point, Stan has got to learn the truth about the Jennings. His career is already compromised by his relationship with Oleg. I wonder if this is how he ended up in the criminal division rather than counter-intelligence at the start of this season? Even if not, once the Bureau finds out that Stan's best friend is one of the Illegals they've been hunting for years, I think Stan's career will be toast and he'll be cordially invited to seek employment elsewhere (fired). He might be able to save his career by taking down the Jennings or convincing them to defect, but good luck trying to persuade Elizabeth to defect.

Yeah, that's not going to happen. Especially not with that suicide pill around her neck.

Seriously. If Philip can't convince Elizabeth to defect, Stan Beeman isn't going to be able to.

BTW, I really like that Elizabeth icon you posted with.

It's very good, I agree. It was made by [personal profile] tinny, and I'm sure is snaggable.

Yeah, I remember Proxy Snyder Agent Wolfe basically telling Stan his little stunt to keep the CIA from compromising Oleg was going to get him transferred permanently away from CI and might even cost him his job.

Also, just...narratively, he's got to learn the truth. It would be a big letdown for the larger story arc if he didn't.

Agreed. Stan learning the truth has been left hanging since the very first episode. We need to see this happen to get closure for the character and the overall story.
