Yes, I thought the combination of Philip realizing it's good to know your parents even if what you know is bad (so you can understand them) and Gabriel saying he was leaving made the decision make total sense. Since he's leaving it's not about them introducing her to their handler in a professional way, but they can make a show of respect and love for their two family members by symbolically having them meet.

LOL! Imagining this with Claudia. Probably the scene would just be Philip saying, "Nuh-uh." And Elizabeth saying, "Yeah, bad idea."
