I used to have a favourite, and then for a while I had two favourites. But I'm increasingly finding that I don't think of this show in terms of episodes at all. What I tend to think of as "favourites" are my favourite character moments, and my favourite uses of music, that sort of thing.
I'm curious to hear whether other fans of the show do have favourite episodes, though, so I'll keep checking back!
Like Lovingboth I would rather say I had the occasional least favourite, but off the top of my head I can't remember which one right now.
It is very much not an episode-based drama. There are shorter stories that fit within the 40 minutes, but most of the important stuff happens over a long arc of a whole season, and sometimes even longer.
Having said that, I think that the episode that affected me most was probably the one where Gregory died, Only You. But you know, Nina's death was powerful and the future is still uncertain for Martha.
