P.S. What I said over here to Alison is also relevant here, are you following that thread? I think that interview with Matthew Rhys is very telling because I think he has a good handle on this aspect of his character. He didn't say that when he's with Elizabeth, that's the only time he can be the actual man--he said "that's as close as he ever gets to the actual man."
