Well, not quite, because she's from Directorate S too. :) Like, even if she didn't go through the full-on illegals training (though I think the Line N officers--i.e. the handlers--in this version of the KGB must have gone through some of it, at least, to be able to speak accentless English), she's been employed herself by not just the generic KGB, but Directorate S specifically, for at least a few years already.
But she did seem very keen, didn't she? My read was that she's very eager to please partly from her own initiative and partly because of what she said: their top illegals (i.e. the ones stationed in Washington D.C. itself) sent back the most experienced officer of her type already, so she's not only got big shoes to fill, she's got to do better.
