I really love the implications here--so very much like the show--that an experience like the one she had would have repercussions on her psychologically. Getting shot is a traumatic event, but not usually on TV. Plus it made it real to her that something could happen to her, and therefore to the kids etc. But she's also Elizabeth so she's going to want to push ahead, leading to Philip having these fears, which would then lead to some conflict between them for sure.
