I love that sex worker article so much! The show basically treats that aspect the way it treats the spying aspect, as a day to day thing that they get used to and becomes routine.

A friend of mine recently was complaining about some show, I can't remember what, where they did that annoying thing where a woman is married to a cop and then spends all her time being upset and worried over his job. Or maybe it was one of those shows where the person's married to a criminal and keeps doing that. She was like, "You knew who this person was when you married him! You need to accept the person you're married to."

I said, "Like the couple on The Americans."

She said, "Yes, exactly! They know who each other is and what they do!"
