It also seemed to me like the KGB might actually "disappear" Jared, given that they've done it before to people who know "just enough" to be a loose end - for example Rob's Puerto Rican wife.

That would really suck for the kid, being killed off without even knowing why. :(

I think his wife knew way too much, though. She figured out they were spies. Jared wouldn't know anything.
