I do wonder about the point they're making, though. Would it have worked the same way if Henry would have been the older, more inquisitive one.

I actually think it's much more remarkable that people usually don't react this way to Paige (and Henry). You see a lot more commentary (from critics and fans alike) about how the kids on this show are actually not annoying, gasp.
